Vizag Port Sets New Record in Rice Shipments
A Landmark Achievement in Rice Exports Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has once again demonstrated its efficiency and growing capacity by achieving a new milestone in rice exports. The port successfully handled a record shipment of 7,790 metric tonnes (MT) of rice in break bulk, loaded onto MV Eleftherotria at the EQ-1A berth. This remarkable accomplishment showcases Vizag Port’s capability to handle large-scale bulk cargo operations with precision and efficiency.
Breaking Previous Records This latest achievement surpasses the previous record of 6,758 MT of rice, which was shipped to MV Amis Wisdom II at EQ-4 in August last year. The new record signifies a substantial increase in cargo handling efficiency, reinforcing the port’s status as a crucial hub for bulk exports in India.
Seamless Execution by Spartans and Stevedores The operation was successfully executed under the agency of Spartans, involving various exporters and multiple stevedores. The collaboration of experienced professionals and advanced handling techniques ensured the smooth and swift loading of rice cargo, minimizing turnaround time and enhancing port productivity.
